NGCP USES CHOPPER IN TRANSPORTING POLES

AURORA, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR – In its endeavors to prevent unwanted power interruptions, National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) came to the extent of using its Helicopter in transporting galvanized steel poles to replace defective ones along transmission lines traversing difficult terrains inaccessible to land transportation, an official of the Company said last September 6.

NGCP MOM Chief Engineer Edinower Cabanos told newsmen that the use of a chopper in slinging galvanized steel poles from the staging area in barangay La Victoria in Aurora to their intended installation points along the Aurora-Tambulig, Zamboanga del Sur transmission line was resorted to because the said section traverses through marshlands and very difficult terrain.

Iligan City- BRP Batac LCH 22 vessel through CDR Joseph “Jude “Sumpay, Commanding Officer arrived in the morning of July 13, 2017 loaded with relief goods from the Du30 Cabinet Spouses Association Inc., which left the Port of Cebu City.

Ms. Noorulhayat M. Alonto with husband Sec. Datu Hj Abul Khayr D. Alonto, MinDA Chairperson received the 2000 pails with each pail that contains cans of sardines, mosquito net, toiletries and blanket from CDR Sumpay through a simple turn over ceremony at Iligan Port Area.

The relief packs is intended for the 2000 families of the Marawi crisis evacuees who are now staying in different evacuation centers in Iligan City and other areas ni Lanao del Norte.

LUDABI to Train “Mother Tongue” Teachers

ILIGAN CITY – The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) turned over last Saturday, June 24, 2,000 relief packs for persons displaced by the Marawi battle between government troops and the Maute group reportedly influenced by IS (Islamic State) to Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

ILIGAN CITY – The Energy Sector led by the National Electrification Administration (NEA) made a joint relief assistance activity today for the employees of Lanao del Sur Electric Cooperative (LASURECO) and relatives now temporarily settled in the homes of relatives and evacuation centers in Cagayan de Oro and this City, June 22.
